International Fashion photography competition 2011 Project Objective: To launch a global campaign to find 100 international fashion school teams to design and create a fashion shoot, to produce an iconic photograph to represent the diversity, creativity and culture of each country, region or city. Each local fashion school will be sponsored by a respected fashion brand and will be promoted on www.Inspiredbyfashion.co.uk and via a regional media partner. Project brief: "Create a fashion shoot and iconic photograph to represent the diversity, creativity and culture of your country, region or city." Our main aim is to provide an exciting opportunity for student fashion designers, photographers, stylists, make up artists, hair stylists and models to promote their creative skills to a local and global audience. Each regional sponsorship partner will commission the fashion school to create the iconic fashion photograph and the final image will receive the following exposure:

"Glasgow is starting to build up a young and fresh group of creative photographers, designers, stylists and models that are creatively working together to further their own careers. This team of young individuals are encouraging creative people to stay in Glasgow and to encourage others not to leave by showcasing a strong network in Glasgow. Individuals like Anna Cruzalegui and Stephanie are two examples of Glasgow based women who are also working internationally but hold on to their Glasgow roots resisting the pressure to leave in order to become successful. The team represent young recent graduates from Glasgow School of Art who want to see the regeneration of Glasgow in the areas of Fashion and Style. Read more

si:su Martine and Hanneke Van Ryswyk have submitted an application to represent Swansea and the design collective si:su. The si:su womenswear, accessories and interior collections have been created using a mixture of recycled fabrics and sourced vintage materials. The driving force behind si:su is to produce eco-friendly products from sustainable materials as we feel strongly about the issues concerned with consumer wastage, the damaging effects of fabric production on the environment and strong believe and hope that the ideas of sustainability and recycling play a key role in the fashion industry of the future.
